The mission of Kennesaw Methodist's Foster Care Ministry is to provide a support system for foster and adoptive families in our church and community as well as meet the needs of the children in care. Christmas Luncheon & Parents Afternoon Out
Kennesaw MC invites you and your family to our 2025 Christmas Luncheon and Parent’s Afternoon Out. Join us so that we can say THANK YOU for all that you have done for the children in your homes this year! Together, we will enjoy a catered meal and fellowship! Following the luncheon will be Parent Afternoon Out from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. Space is limited, so please register early! Registration is required and will close on December 7th.

MONTHLY SUPPORT MEETINGS:
You will receive two training hours for each meeting you attend. We will meet in room 137 at Kennesaw Methodist Church.
2025 SCHEDULE:
- September 12: Dinner served at 6:00 pm (optional for families). SG runs from 6:30-8:30 pm. (Children may arrive at 6:00.)
- October 10: Dinner served at 6:00 pm (optional for families). SG runs from 6:30-8:30 pm. (Children may arrive at 6:00.)
- November 7: Dinner served at 6:00 pm (optional for families). SG runs from 6:30-8:30 pm. (Children may arrive at 6:00.)

These respite nights are for children of all ages.
Older children will have the opportunity to participate in life skill classes.

Parent’s Night Out Schedule in 2025:
- February 7: drop off 6:00/ pick up 8:30.
- March 7: drop off 6:00/ pick up 8:30.
- April 25: drop off 6:00/ pick up 8:30.
- May 9: drop off 6:00/ pick up 8:30.
- December 13: Christmas Party and Parent Afternoon Out; luncheon at 12:00 and Parent Afternoon Out 1:00-4:00pm.

Foster Care Information
The Foster Care Ministry resource closet is available to all foster parents. This resource serves to cater to the clothing needs of all our foster children. Sometimes the fosters children come into a foster house with little to nothing, so we want to make sure we can provide for those families who are in need.
The resource closet is open from 6-6:30 pm right before the support group meetings start. If you have any questions about our resource closet, please email fostercare@kennesawmc.org.
