Good Friday Devotional Videos

This year, we will not host a traditional Good Friday service.  In its place, you will watch and hear 7 separate devotionals read by Kennesaw UMC Congregation members.  These devotional videos will be posted throughout the day at (STARTING AT 7 AM)  https://www.facebook.com/kennesawumc and https://www.youtube.com/kennesawumc.  You can also watch the videos by visiting https://www.kennesawumc.org/good-friday. These videos will be available to watch even after they premiere on Friday, so don’t worry if you can’t watch it all on Friday.  We ask that if you can, watch these videos, read the scriptures attached to them, and reflect on them as you pray.

These devotionals are based of the seven last words of Jesus and include:

1. Forgiveness – Luke 23:34 “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”  Premieres at 7:00 am
2. Salvation – Luke 23:43 “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”   Premieres at 9:00 am
3. Relationship – John 19:26-27 “Woman, here is your son…” Premieres at 11:00 am
4. Abandonment – Matthew 27:46 “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” Premieres at 1:00 pm
5. Distress – John 19:28 “I am thirsty.” Premieres at 3:00 pm
6. Triumph – John 19:30 “It is finished.” Premieres at 5:00 pm
7. Reunion – Luke 23:46 “Into your hands I commit my spirit.” Premieres at 7:00 pm
